Usually I do my beads in the evening and at night when my kids are asleep. But if I need to bead in the day time or take some pictures my big daughter always"helps" me!
So for this reason I keep some "Anastasia's beads" she can play with and string them. Here is a work in process :) .
Look what a hard worker she is!!
So do not worry you all, new generation of beaders is coming up!!! :)

I was so delighted and honored to find out I was the winner of December Etsy Beadweavers challenge with my Dove of Peace necklace.
Thank you so much to everyone who visited EBW blog and gave it's vote for your favorite! There were so many stunning creations from talented artists !!!! I was so incredibly lucky to win this month!!

Now the next challenge theme name is up to me and I'm so excited about it. I've got already three wonderful challenge ideas!! Oh my! I don't know which one I'd choose and it's still so much time for me to think it about!!!

Me and EBW group were featured in Rosebudlia website . Two of my necklaces were placed there as a inspiration for beaders in the UK and Europe. Thank you Sue so much for doing this.

Wish to everyone great muse for beaded masterpieces!!!
Best of luck to you all!!!

New EBW Challenge January theme is going to be" Sea or Ocean related". It is such a tasty subject I cannot stop getting my inspiration and draw new and new sketches. It's so hard to choose just one for the challenge

I had three reasons to start this necklace. Recently I was asked if I can freeform... I said that I've never done freeforming but I really want to try and never had either time or inspiration... so there is the one.
So technique decision has been made... and I thought it could go beautifully with the EBW Challenge theme as you can "draw" all the beauty of underwater world using this beautiful technique.
Sea for me always was special.I grew up almost next to the seaside and I do miss my Black Sea so much.I use to spend almost all the summer on the sea side. Now... only when I'm going to visit my parents... So I wanted to make something to remind me about the Black Sea and Crimea. So there is the reason two.I remember the Black Sea as a huge amount of rocks in the water covered with green-bluish-brownish seaweeds. And just for this I had special agate stone. It's very dear for me, because it's my first stone bought for beading. Beautiful lime-green spider net agate bead. My first attempt to bead this stone was not a success at all so it was laying in my craft box for about 18 months.Every time ordering my seed beads I always get some shades of green for this stone, knowing that day will come when I would be ready to deal with it......So there it is the third reason.

Here is a beautiful picture of the Black Sea underwater world by Bulgarian photograph Lyubomir Klissurov
and I hope his pictures will inspire you too.

Here how my necklace looks like now. Off course, I run out of seed beads and whilst I'm waiting for my order to arrive I cannot wait to start another one :)

Finished piece...
Had some adjustments in the end but I'm very happy with the final result

Votes are open for Etsy Beadweavers challenge. Please visit and vote for your favorite! There a lot of beautiful creations over there so you can choose your one.

Decembers theme of the challenge were both "Peace" and "Winter Olympic games". I thought how to combine these all and create beadwoven necklace ( because I'm a very necklace person).
So I ended up with 5 different designs including symbols of peace and Olympics but stopped on the last one which you can see now.
I think I could reflect both components in it: Dove as symbol of world peace and clear-silvery colour reminds snow we need so much for Winter Olympics.
"Dove of peace" is very elegant and delicate necklace I wanted to create after a month of hard work at 2 huge bead embroidered necklaces.
It's my first attempt to work with Swarovski Rivoli and I absolutely enjoyed it.
Again St Petersburg's chain for basic elements love it a lot as well.
Clear silver lined inside seed beads are Czech and Japanese and Silver galvanized Toho.

Please visit EBW blog and place your vote for your favorite piece between 9 Dec 2009 and 14 Dec 2009 http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/
